  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 3 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Warm milk to lukewarm and combine with sugar and yeast; let sit until bubbly.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk flour and salt; create a well for wet ingredients.
  3. Add melted butter and eggs to the dry mixture; stir until combined.
  4. Knead dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled (about 1 hour).
  6. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon for the filling.
  7. Punch down dough, roll into a rectangle, spread melted butter, and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar.
  8. Roll dough tightly, seal seams, and place in greased pan; let rise again (about 30 minutes).
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
