Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup brown sugar (for topping)
  • ½ cup rolled oats (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round pan with butter or nonstick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing in milk and vanilla until smooth. Gradually fold in dry ingredients.
  4. Gently mix in fresh blueberries without crushing them.
  5. For the streusel topping, combine oats (if using), brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, and flour until crumbly.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the pan, sprinkle with half of the streusel; repeat with remaining batter and streusel. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

  • For added flavor, substitute blueberries with raspberries or strawberries and consider adding lemon zest for a refreshing twist. Always use fresh blueberries for optimal taste.
