Lemon Garlic Pasta is a zesty and aromatic dish that combines fresh lemon and garlic for a delightful taste experience. Perfect for quick dinners or special occasions!

Ingredients

  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • Zest and juice of 2 fresh lemons
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water. Cook spaghetti until al dente, following package instructions.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant and golden (about 1-2 minutes).
  3. Stir in lemon zest, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 2 minutes.
  4. Drain the spaghetti, reserving some cooking water. Add pasta to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce.
  5. Mix in chopped parsley and season with salt and pepper. Adjust sauce consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.

  • For a vegan option, replace butter with olive oil and use nutritional yeast instead of cheese.
