1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup fresh lemon juice (from about 4–5 lemons)
4 cups cold water (or sparkling water)
Ice cubes

Instructions
Wash and slice the strawberries, removing the leaves.
Squeeze the juice from the lemons until you have 1 cup, straining out any seeds.
In a blender, combine sliced strawberries, ¾ cup sugar, and 1 cup water. Blend until smooth.
In a large pitcher, mix the strawberry puree with the lemon juice and remaining 4 cups of cold water. Stir well.
Fill glasses with ice and pour in the strawberry lemonade. Garnish with mint leaves if desired.
