Ingredients
Scale
2 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
1 tsp sesame oil
2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, ginger, and sesame oil. Mix until well blended.
Place salmon fillets in a resealable bag or shallow dish. Pour half of the marinade over the salmon and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Remove salmon from marinade (discard remaining marinade) and cook skin-side down for 4-5 minutes until crispy; flip gently.
During the last few minutes of cooking, pour in the reserved marinade to thicken slightly.
Once cooked through (about 6-8 minutes total), plate the salmon and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
For enhanced flavor, marinate your salmon overnight.
Pair with steamed vegetables or quinoa for a complete meal.
A sprinkle of sesame seeds can add an appealing crunch.
