Savor the delightful flavors of this quick and easy Teriyaki Salmon, featuring a sweet and savory glaze that transforms any meal into a culinary masterpiece.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, ginger, and sesame oil. Mix until well blended.
  2. Place salmon fillets in a resealable bag or shallow dish. Pour half of the marinade over the salmon and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Remove salmon from marinade (discard remaining marinade) and cook skin-side down for 4-5 minutes until crispy; flip gently.
  4. During the last few minutes of cooking, pour in the reserved marinade to thicken slightly.
  5. Once cooked through (about 6-8 minutes total), plate the salmon and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

  •  For enhanced flavor, marinate your salmon overnight.
  • Pair with steamed vegetables or quinoa for a complete meal.
  • A sprinkle of sesame seeds can add an appealing crunch.
