  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 3/4 cup creamy or crunchy peanut butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or mini peanut butter cups

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  4. Mix in peanut butter and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Gradually incorporate the dry mixture into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips or chopped peanut butter cups.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto lined baking sheets, spacing them about two inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set but centers still appear soft.
  9. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for about five minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

  • Chill the dough for 30 minutes for enhanced flavor and texture.
  •  Experiment by substituting regular chocolate chips with dark or white chocolate.
  •  To store leftovers, keep cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
