  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Freshly ground pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat dry the chicken pieces with paper towels for extra crispiness.
  2. In a bowl, mix cornstarch with pepper and toss chicken pieces until well coated.
  3. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the coated chicken and cook until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken and stir to coat evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Remove from heat and garnish with toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
