Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz penne or fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb thinly sliced ribeye or sirloin steak
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup low-sodium beef broth

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté onions and bell peppers in olive oil until soft (5-7 minutes).
  3. Push veggies to one side; add steak strips to the other side and cook until browned (3-4 minutes). Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Lower heat; stir in garlic and cream cheese, then gradually add beef broth until smooth. Simmer gently for 5 minutes.
  5. Toss cooked pasta with the steak mixture until evenly coated; warm through for 2-3 minutes.

Notes

  • For added flavor, use fresh herbs like parsley or basil as garnish.
  • Swap out beef for chicken or mushrooms for alternative proteins.
  • Adjust sauce thickness by adding more beef broth as needed.
