- 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
- ⅓ cup honey
- ¼ cup soy sauce (low-sodium recommended)
- ¼ cup ketchup
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
- 2 tbsp green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
- Place the chicken in the Crockpot.
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, ketchup, garlic, thyme, and black pepper. Pour the mixture over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 6–8 hours or on high for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
- Remove the chicken and set aside. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Stir the slurry into the sauce in the Crockpot.
- Cook on high for 5–10 minutes, or until the sauce thickens. Return the chicken to the Crockpot and coat with the sauce.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
