Beef Bulgogi is a delectable Korean dish featuring tender, marinated beef grilled to perfection. Enjoy this easy recipe that brings bold flavors to your dinner table in no time!

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece ginger, grated
  • 4 green onions, chopped (plus more for garnish)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Lettuce leaves (for serving)
  • Cooked rice (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and black pepper.
  2. Add the thinly sliced beef and mix until well coated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and add a splash of oil.
  4. Once hot, add the marinated beef slices and cook for 3–5 minutes per side until caramelized.
  5. In the last minute of cooking, add the chopped green onions.
  6. Serve with lettuce leaves for wrapping and optional cooked rice.

Notes

  • For maximum flavor, marinate overnight.
  • Try adding chili paste for a spicy kick or substitute chicken for a different protein.
