  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 green onions, chopped (plus more for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Make the Marinade: In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil. Mix until well blended.
  2. Prepare the Beef: Thinly slice the sirloin against the grain into approximately 1/4-inch pieces for tenderness.
  3. Marinate the Beef: Add the sliced beef to the marinade, tossing to coat evenly. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight in the refrigerator.
  4. Cook the Beef: Preheat your grill or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Cook marinated beef in batches for about 3-4 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.
  5. Garnish & Serve: Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds. Serve with rice or lettuce wraps.
