  • 34 boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 45 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (your choice)
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Chop the onion and mince the garlic.
  2. Layer the chicken breasts in the slow cooker. Sprinkle the onions and garlic on top.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth; then add cumin, salt, and pepper. Stir gently to combine.
  4. Drizzle BBQ sauce generously over the mixture.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until fully cooked.
  6. Shred the chicken in the pot using two forks, mixing well with the juices before serving.
