Ingredients
Scale
1 lb lean ground beef
1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated

¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 green onions, chopped
1 tbsp sesame oil
2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
Instructions
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add sesame oil until it shimmers.
Sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Add ground beef and cook until browned and no longer pink, roughly 5-7 minutes.
Drain excess fat if needed. Stir in soy sauce and brown sugar; simmer for 3-4 minutes to blend flavors.
Remove from heat and mix in chopped green onions.
Serve over cooked rice in bowls.
Notes
For added flavor, marinate the beef for at least one hour before cooking.
Substitute ground beef with chicken or tofu for different protein options.
Top with sesame seeds or chili flakes for an extra kick.
