Salmon patties are a delightful, crispy treat that’s quick to prepare and bursting with flavor, making them a family favorite for any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (14.75 oz) wild-caught canned salmon, drained
  • 1 cup plain breadcrumbs or panko
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill or parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, flake the drained salmon and ensure no bones remain.
  2. Add breadcrumbs, eggs, green onions, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, dill or parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into 8-10 patties (about 1/4 cup each).
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Drain cooked patties on paper towels briefly before serving.

Notes

  • Chill the mixture for about 30 minutes before shaping patties to help them hold together better.
  •  Experiment with different herbs or spices to personalize your salmon patties.
  •  For a unique twist, substitute breadcrumbs with crushed crackers or oats.
