Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ribeye steak
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, crushed
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Allow the ribeye steak to reach room temperature and finely chop the parsley.
  2. Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat and drizzle with olive oil.
  3. Season both sides of the steak generously with salt and pepper. Place the steak in the hot pan.
  4. Sear for 4-5 minutes until a golden crust forms, then flip.
  5. Add crushed garlic cloves and unsalted butter to the pan. Baste the steak with the melted garlic butter mixture.
  6. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes for medium-rare, searing the edges as needed.
  7. Transfer the steak to a cutting board, let rest for 5 minutes, slice against the grain, and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider using herbs like rosemary or thyme.
  •  Substitute olive oil for butter for a lighter option.
  •  Make sure your steak is dry before cooking to achieve a proper sear.
