Baked Ziti is a comforting, cheesy pasta dish that’s perfect for gatherings or cozy family dinners. This crowd-pleaser combines ziti pasta with rich marinara sauce and creamy cheeses for an unforgettable meal.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz ziti pasta
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup fresh basil or parsley, chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ziti in salted boiling water until al dente; drain.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta, salt, pepper, and half the mozzarella.
  4. In a baking dish, layer marinara sauce, half the pasta, and the ricotta mixture; repeat layers.
  5. Top with remaining marinara sauce and sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes; remove foil and bake an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
