1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 small sweet onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
2 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, mash the black beans with a fork until mostly smooth but still chunky.
Stir in breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper until well combined.
Form the mixture into four patties about ½ inch thick.
Heat olive oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Cook each patty for about 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown.
